The "EVA-M+E Study" is dedicated to the question of how the changes of the partial amendment in 2018 for metal and electrical occupations and mechatronics technicians have arrived in training practice, what effects they trigger and what obstacles exist. The study shows which qualification profiles are necessary in the companies for the implementation of Industry 4.0 and which competence requirements are associated with these. Beyond an evaluation of the current state, the study also takes a look into the future and examines the extent to which there is a need for further development in vocational education and training design and which recommendations for action can be derived for the future design of M+E vocational education und training.
